Camurus winner of Strictly Financing Award 2007

After six different business presentations the panel of six British investors awarded the Swedish biotech company Camurus from Lund as "The Best Private Biotech Company in Medicon Valley in 2007".

- We are delighted and honoured with the award. This day has proved that Danish and Swedish biotech represents very solid and strong companies. The award is a recognition of our potential to stay successful and expand and with that we are pleased, said Fredrik Tiberg, President and CEO, Camurus.

A high standard in Medicon Valley

In the panel of judges it was agreed that Danish-Swedish biotech puts on an impressive performance.

- The standard of the six companies was very high and it was a close race. We went for Camurus, partly because they demonstrated a carefully prepared and cost-effective strategy, said Patrick Lee from the British investor Advent Venture Partners on behalf of the panel of judges.

The Audience Award

The audience did too participate in the selection and came up with their vote for a supplemental award, the Audience Award. This award went to Egalet from Denmark.
